Today, I spent a few hours browing through some digital Fanart, Anime art and Fantasy art. I saw some fantastic, some ok and some that I wouldn't dare to put up on the internet for fear of my self-esteem. It was a leisurely, unproductive sort of day, apart from the minor touches I made to another quick sketch last night, plus another, sitting down one (

) which I have a few more questions for my most knowledgeable and highly artistic friends. However, there seems to be a memory problem with my computer, so the second picture aint scanning.
Planning to work on faces, hair and facial expression in the next few days. Really should sit down and finish Book I of Definition but there are so many fancy distractions, plus it's the holidays and all. Talk about lack of motivation.
Well, I have come to a conclusion on a matter that I had been undecided about in the past few days: what should an artist perfect first? Their line art, or their colouring/CG skills? Having browsed through the myriad of pictures today, I conclude that lineart is indeed more important. All the artwork which was immediately offensive to the eye contained blatantly incorrect proportions, incorrect perspective and a general 'wrongness' to the picture. Knowing what a blind dingbat I am (as I'm sure Archangel has suffered, given my incessant pestering/questioning over her Kamiya_pallete), it's got to be pretty wonky lineart for it to be noticeable by me, and if it is noticeable by me, I wonder whether it is in the interests of one's ego and self-esteem to be publishing it on DA, unless you're specifically still in the learning stages (*ahem* like myself).
Anyway, I'll probably go do some writing tonight then. Wrote some prose during my lunchbreak at work on Wednesday, which will go into the next chapter, but it's the darn beginning that's slow and bothering me. If it bores ME, the author, imagine how it's going to pack everyone off into a coma if they read it.
*sigh*

If I am such an open
I'm afraid to ask for help because I haven't even mastered the fundamentals yet...which I believe I should be able to perfect if I actually sat my buttocks down and practiced. So yeah, thanks for the offer. I only hope you don't live to regret it when I rain down a thousand questions on you in the future
I treat my obsessions seriously. If I'm hooked on something, I either try to get in as deep as I can without professional guidance, or I give up not longer after. The wooden doll is fun - my sister is making it do perverted poses and leaves it in the dining room for everyone to see. Charming, heh?
Spam here whenever you want. Just mind your eyes - they may be a bit sore in the early stages of my drawing life as the sketches will inevitably be....shoddy.
graet thing u start sketching and all cos it feels awesome. hope u get a better hand on the puppets. lol!
spam on u later dude, i will not be active these days. XD

we accept the love we think we deserve
Before I contine however:
Many thanks to everyone who hasn't found the urge to do this:
And of course, how can I forget: Many Thanks for all the help, hints, comments and opinions bestowed on my sketches. It really helps when you pick up a pencil again after gawd knows how long and have people point out your mistakes early so that they don't become bad habits.
Your warm encouragements are always appreciated.
Humblest thank yous.
